I'm glad this patch was finally released. And hope that BoM won't be that far away - but release it only when it's ready...

Amen to the above. Devs, take your time. Or adopt the DCS model of payable Beta..I am in if you do. BTW, thanks for sticking with it, CLOD has come a long way.

Downloaded it and if I try to erase everything that happened the last 1.5 years and play it like it was the original release it actually is an awesome game... No other flight sim is close in my opinion regarding the graphics, flight models and damage modelling. Sure there are bugs left but try to fly it as you have been nuked back to early march 2011 - and enjoy it!

Should I uninstall everything if I have the release candidate installed?

No.

First up go into your My documents/1C cache folder and delete the files you see in there. Then go to the cache/Shaders folder and delete the files in there.
(Note both the folders must exist so just delete the files in theses folders NOT the folders themselves)

Then crank up steam and "verify local cache integrity" it will do everything for you.

Amen. Just tested it on Atag it seems exactly the RC2. Let's make the max out of this, some aspects are OK, others are still rough. But I regret a lot the bullet "quick flashes", they were removed in one of the beta patches and never reinstated are a big miss.
As foor the sequel we need the promised announcement to calm our nerves ...

Fantastic news!

Many many thanks, to Luthier, BlackSix and the rest of the team for the work involved in getting this flight simulator to shine as it does, in such conditions of adversity.

Now it's time to go fly.
