Just for the record, I posted that someone made the skin mentioned in the first post, but then I realized that it wasn't the same code on the side... just slightly.

While I still have you attention here is the 109 from the same book & for a long while this was all we knew about German markings.I think the artist got the markings from a unit featured in a 1939 Life Magazine aritcle( photos were probably first taken for Signal Magazine ...?)He got the "Splinter Camouflage" just about right - how he came to know the pattern was never explained , but apparently he did his research!
