No. This is not a historic duel. This tournament is more in line with air eSports.
This is a duel in which the contestants are on equal footing. The winner is the one who is better prepared tactically*.

Already there are fighters from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine - on trainings there are pilots from Yugoslavia, Austria, Hungary, Italy so we hope that the championship will be beyond the CIS.

Sorry for the stupid question but are the 2 planes for these duels set as the same or can they be different?

Obviously there wouldn't be any spits going up against 109s willingly and therefore this would just become a 109 tournament as a result, is that right?

Participants always fly on the same aircraft types. First you choose the plane, then the plane chooses your opponent. More information is written in the rules.
