Its alittle like dating a high maintenance Woman or driving aan Old Austin Healy...they both can be maddening , but when they are hitting on all cylinders they are some kind of fun!

I'm getting CTD's now and I didn't before. At least every other flight. reinstalled twice and no change. So sad indeed.

Agreed. This game has so much potential, not just visually, and it is so obviously not complete. So, yeah, I suppose I do "cry a little inside"; but more than anything, I'm really worried.

I just really hope that the developers don't become disillusioned and frustrated and give up on it.

Like the original, this platform has the potential to be the next "gold standard" in CFS's.

time will aid this game . . .

they will slowly hammer out bugs and stuff . ..

and as pc hardware develops, this will help because the beast of a machine required for this game . . . will become affordable as the brother of the beast (octacore or sexdecuple 16) becomes the new powerhouse . . .

stable engine then the theaters will arrive.

best sellers will be late european / pacific and korea

then once the engine is stable, come the SDK everyone wants.

Then there will be lots of crazy mods, but then a SDK of great quality will happen.

forget about this game being the gold standard for prop combat sims, i'ts too late because Rise of Flight took the title (according to the forums). And silver.

They are not going to give up on it...they have already given up on it. Blacksix has said this expressly, and it has been heavily trailed. It's name is writ in water...which is a good or bad thing, depending on your POV.

There are the formalities of the patch, a bit of goodwill laundry to attend to, and then all attentions elsewhere. Not if, but when.

I dont see that there's any hand-wringing to be done about this. It has been obvious, and known, for a long time. The questions isn't about retrospectively merged installs or anything like that, but A) Whether the tools are in place for the user community to do anything with it, B) Whether the community wants to run with it, and C) Whether any such tools are up to the job or have to be hacked together from scratch. And then D) Whether there are enough people who care to play what is put together in future (apart from the die-hards, that is).

Expecting the developers to allocate any real resources to this game now= picking a spot on the wall and banging your head against it.

It could also be argued that putting it out of it's misery is the kindest thing that could be done to it in the cirumstances. It has been the most-waited-for
resurrection since...well...some bloke on a cross.

It may continue, but not as we know it Jim. Falcon4 is a good example of what happens when the community takes over and runs with something.

Falstaff, yes your right they have stopped adding content but they are fixing issues, yes I am disappointed that features are missing but features can come with the next addon as long as the game is running well and the FM's are good I am happy.

Apart from the reds fm the game is running quite well so may I suggest that you either keep on taking those antidepressants or unbunch your panties...
