Hi,

you will get some performance boost if you are able to overclock to say 4,5 or more GHz. For gaming and flight simming i5-2500K or 2550K is enough. The maximum clocks are about the same as 2700K, but it is 100€ cheaper.
However, when upgrading CPU you have to upgrade also the motherboard at least.
