Steam has to verify patches before the roll them out to their content servers. RO2 required a separate beta client download in order to separate it from the official version.

Its easier for them to release them for us to downlaod, its pretty difficult to mess up your install with steam- if you get anything wrong you can verify the integrity of your game and it redownloads to the official version.

They do not release the BETA via Steam because there are still features disabled!

Hood, install is dead easy. Just drop that folder in and go. I would clear your cache before starting though.

Try not to get your hopes up though.....
