Flickering smoke & I have also noticed the AI can't get there engines to stay running during the start of missions.

The game got definitely worse for me with this beta patch (I did not try the previous version of the beta patch): I now have frequent launcher crashes and micro stutters are back.

I operate:

i7 quad core
6 GB ram
GTX275

Vista 64b

Sadly, the real issue is now I have frequent CTD's where before I had almost none.

Frame rates good, but still crunch to the 14-18 mark with multiple planes over land.
Without everything on high, but that I am sure I could play about with the settings.

System Spec's:

Win 7 Ultimate 64bit
i7-2600 processor 3.4ghz
8gb RAM
Nvidia GTX 580
30" moniter

Graphics settings in game on High for most everything.
