It's not complete truth.
Sonic Age is a Mod bases on 4.09m. It addes Mig15 and F86 to simulate Korean War. I know a lot of simulaters in China use it freely.I often use it but have never heard anybody paid it. Last edited by damar; 07-01-2012 at 02:19 PM.

Obviously, the first poster, cainiaofly, knew very little about what he was here talking about.
So far as I know, in 'DOF SonicAge', computation of flight behaviour (is it called 'flight models'?) was substantially overhauled, mainly to make aircraft's behaviour highly realistic at around sonic speed, something that the stock IL2 or its any other mod was not able to achieve. Also they added other things. Besides, the download is completely free, and if you want to fly more realistic jets in IL2, why not try it? It being free, I doubt the softwares which the first post claims some people are foolish enough to buy are the same thing. I once heard of it that Oleg had even given @6 some help with this SonicAge project.

Anyway the real deal is free, its called JetWar and its part of the DBW 1.71 superpack together with several Korea and Vietnam maps. It has these planes (additional jets like F-4 or L-39 are available too + Beta: Mig-19, F-100; Mig-21 need only a finished pit):

The Mig-21 is in final stage, cockpit is being textured then it will probably released at sas1946.com for Jetwar/DBW - I'm not familiar with HSFX but they are free to import it. The Harrier imho is an experiment, I wouldnt hold my breath for that. The rest (F-100/L-39) is already released.

As far as we know, what Cainiaofly said was a lie. The Mods set of Sonig Age is not just rename the UP2.0, and never been sold in any Country. He will never tell you which store or person is selling this Mod, or what is the price. His anger to the Mod makers is just due to the personal reason. So he will spread this lie over and over again.

I'm a il2 player from china,I know some circumstance about this.
The guy called @6 who devolped IL2:SONIC AGE is a trustworthy and respectable simulator in china. Perhaps Oleg Maddox knows SONIC AGE more than most people here.In fact ,@6 once communicated with Oleg during the devolopment of SA. I can also provide some other information. In 2005,@6 orgnized the first ICAS( international cyber air sports) ,which is a international competion for il2 simulator. Players from 10+ countries attended ICAS including Russian players, and Oleg was invited as a special guest to come to china.It's hard to belive that @6 stole Oleg‘s il2 and sold it. In fact SA is free downloading. those rumour about SA comes from some chines players , they are hostile to @6 and SA for some reasons,so they distort the facts.They should be totally ashamed of thier behavior.
