The game in the video has so little in common with what's installed on my hard drive that it must be a different game. Where can I buy it?

Redtoo.

yea, same here

the scenery looks pretty amazing from 1.30 onwards, and partic at 2.05, rock solid video, no popup, intact textures and scenery all the way to the horizon, and the scenery has a nice "solid feel" to it, a similar quality i always liked in the earlier il2 series (even if in that series the ellevation detail was fairly coarse, and textures much more bland with a sparse population of trees)

anybody here had a high end system at original release time last year and believes the scenery looked anything like this to them ? (since that was the old gfx engine). i couldnt run it because of the heavy stutters and microfreezes on my poor little dual core i5 @ 3.5, but maybe somebody actually saw this scenery in all its glory (in which case i'll try and track down a install dvd with the original release on it and install that)

pretty amazing preview, but sadly looks nothing like what i have installed as CoD on my hard drive right now 1 yr after release
