according to patch notes this stutters should cease with trees and grass set to off, since luthier say these are the culprits.

Default Zapatista...

Zapatista, What you are seeing is what has existed since release of CLOD. 60 Frames at all times should be ones target to ensure the "smoothest" visuals given the efficiency of the programming code as well as ones equipment including inherent limitations in typical 60 HMZ LCD's. But this 60 is not consistently achievable even with the original cleanest release of code.

If you watched a program running on LCD at 60 FPS vs one at 50, 40, 30 each step would show a very noticeable reduction in smoothness at each step.

This is precisely why many of us stuck to the original release version as all subsequent test patches, alphas, injections etc only made the FPS drop and introduced more stuttering which really interfered with Smoothness... Multiplayer Dogfrights and enjoyment levels as well as.

But I do suggest that even with a Quad Core at
3.5 GHZ and a 570 the only one that was smoothest was the original released version. There are more components to Smoothness than just FPS but FPS is typically the most significant ( given effective programming code and equipment ) and FPS is the easiest to benchmark.

If I recall there may be a MAXFPS option in one of the ini's. If there is you can see it for yourself by reducing MAXFPS or whatever it is called.

Good Luck Sir
