The overwhelming consensus amongst the relevant section of the scientific community is that anthropomorphic climate change is real, and will have widespread harmful effects. This is the simple fact here. The denialists are largely driven by greed, ignorance or just plain loopiness, and their opinions on the matter are thus also irrelevant. Scientific questions cannot be answered by propaganda, end of story.

It doesn't matter what these sceptics and luddites think. What is happening is that the USA now knows how much business is involved in making renewable energy products and how they can get off middle eastern oil. The USA invests more in it than any other country, it makes business sense.

Actually, the data is overwhelming. The planet definitely warming.

If scientists find that global warming is nonsense, then our policies should change in the same manner as they did with plate tectonics.
