only thing i have to add is 2x 3GB videocards does not equal 6GB of vram... the 2nd videocards memory doesn't get added. so 2x 3GB videocards equals 3GB of vram, likewise, if you get a 3GB and a 2GB videocard, doesn't matter what one you have as primary, running in SLI, you will only get 2GB vram...

If you really want a good upgrade of your 580, you should wait for the new nvidia cards and do not buy an expensive alternative like 680 or 7970 (which I would prefer due to its higher vram). You should wait for a kepler with 3gb and upwards.

I think, if you are really willing to go the high end way, you will be disappointed by the current high end, when the new cards are coming. They will crush the current high end and in nvidias case, they will hopefully implement the recommended 3 gigs vram or more.

Take the summertime to go out and stick some more months with your good old 580. This would be my advice.

S!

For me so far the best performance boost was getting a SSD. Sure system is adequate otherwise too but SSD really helped. Today upgraded CPU..Testing is pending.

How do you get frame rates on screen?

Same way as in old IL-2, press Shift + Tab and type >fps START SHOW then press Enter. Close Console by pressing Shift + Tab again. If Shift + Tab does not work then map it in Controls to that or whatever you like.

Shift+Tab opens up the Stream menu for me....where is FPS located in Controls? Found it...and edited it ....works 4.0.
