Although the GTX570 is uncontestably a very good GPU (I have a couple of them myself) I must emphasize that, as far as this COD game is concerned, putting two GPUs in SLI is the worst thing that you could do. At least until a worthy patch is out with proper sli support..

ive givien up on playing cod until they release a more stable version of the patch, i had loads of problems trying to get it to work let alone playing the god damn thing. Im not going to be using SLI for COD, i was thinking it would gr8 for games like Crysis, BF3, Arma 2 and then Arma 3. Thats why i brought it, i havnt brought it just to play COD my gts 450 coped fine at 1240x720. I just wanted a bit of extra gfx power

I see on the same site that the 690 will be coming in at between GB£879 and 947 depending on manufacturer!!!With most people having less disposable cash what with the recession an' all it looks like top of the range graphics cards are going to be for the very rich and dedicated gamers only. Ive always kept up with hardware up until recently -actually topped out at a 2500k and 5970 but sold up and went back to an E8600 (at 4.4GHz) and GTX295 for a fraction of the cost (possibly under 25%!).
I think I can safely say I will not be buying top spec hardware for many years to come .As with cars it generally makes sense to buy a year or two old and sell at 3-4 years old ...You could keep very close to top spec until recently with a moderate annual expenditure but that no longer seems to be the case...
