Of course the cockpit is open, jeez you Blues know nothing.......ever tried kneeling on the seat, getting yer tool kit out and trying to fix the throttle assembly with the cockpit closed? Thought not!

And yeah...... another thing.....the rear view mirror don't friggin' work either, which is really desirable when a BF109 is sneaking up yer ass........

I tried tonight in a Spit ... with open cockpit you can hear the 109's very well. With closed cockpit the noise is more muffled.
