Not much point in nagging, hassling, whining and whinging... it'll be fixed when it is fixed (oh, did I mention badgering?)
Why should anyone cater to that??

Which is probaly why they are redoing the engine... when its done (and not before) it'll go to testing, then to release and then bugs from that (and there will be) will be addressed
Software writing, as much as it seems to have upset some, is not a perfect world.

I would have thought rolling back the patch would have been a good idea to temporarily fix the problem while we wait.

rolling back, is a possibilty (its not the full fix, but indeed it is a positive approach)... quite a few people do that all the time (at least on other forums I read) with VGA drivers.

Are the CTD users running mods? (if so, another possibility)

I run vanilla, no mods what so ever and I still experience CTD's. One thing I have noticed is people with hi-end pc's seem to experience it more often, maybe due to the fact people with high end pc's like to crank up the graphics more..

But I feel I shouldn't have to compromise and empty my cache every time I play a game. I do remember a time where this game was acceptable to play. I think it was right after they fixed the stealth plane sound issue. After that it was acceptable to play without crashing.. Then they made a few more updates and that is when the CTD's started happening...

So as a temp fix why cant they roll back ?

Forward - ever! Backward - never!

A communist battle - cry, afaik.
