I play BF43 on my ps3 now and then. It's fun for half an hour, but theres only 3 maps and a small dogfight map.

I would also love an extensive WW2 Battlefield game.

No you will need to buy it.
They bought the licence for ArmA2´s Real Virtual Engine, and used it to create a standalone Game from their former planned mod content.
It is a standalone game on the arma engine.

I hope it's goint to have Arma2 v1.60's netcode and optimization.

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Thanks NSU, I was holding out for a gameplay video, but that looks absolutely brilliant! Graphics seem improved over Arma II slightly (though I could be wrong). Can't wait for this now though!
