In the begining of the 13 Century, the Otoman Empire is shattered by mongols. Timur Lenk captured the turk ruler Baiazid and the empire turn to civil war between two of the sons of Baiazid. But a son of a winner,
Mohamed II, conquer Constantinopole, and on the ash of the Eastern Roman Empire build a new empire. Mohamed want to be a continuer of the roman emperor and preserve even the symbol of the Eastern Empire: The half-moon and the star.
