Far more important as resolution, will be the apparent field of view (AF) of such a device.
Sony's field of view is only 45°. Have you ever watched through binoculars or telescopes equipped with eyepieces with only 45° AF? It's like looking through a barrel with the typical big black circular Border. But if you equip the same telescope with a 100°AF wide angle eypiece you'll get the feeling of looking through the window of a space ship! There are no boarders, no tunnel view, just a free floating image in front of your eyes. The prices for these optics are very high, because it's very complicated to generate a sharp image over the entire field of view so close in front of your eyes. The SENSICS solution from louisv offers 120° horizontal and 45° vertical. This is already a very good benchmark. So if I would have money..... |

Think I will stick to my monitor and mouse to look. Don't wanna look like a tit, even for the sake of a better gaming experience
