You guys are really spoiled, aren't you. Luthier and IL-2 developers are the most generous team I've ever seen in the gaming industry. Most games are not supported longer than one year, with handful of patches, many of them only to fix the bugs caused by previous one. Newer contents in patches are rare, most force us to buy DLC or expansion pack. Take "Empire Total War" as an example of how irresponsible a developer can be. This game was one of the most expected in history and ended up as a bugfest. Patches only came occasionally and did not really fix anything. Any history fan will facepalm to death when they see how inaccurate this game is. Finally, EA just conveniently dropped the game. The story didn't end there. They developed another game in the series called "Napoleon total war", which was a little bit better than an expansion pack, and sold it with full price. Well, at least most bugs are eliminated in the new game.
Luthier does surprise me with his supporting policy. And mind you: CloD is a very playable game. It's not perfect, it still has some bugs and performane issues, but it's playable and enjoyable. Luthier can stop here and go on making BoM, noone can really blame him, since it's the norm in game industry. But he does not do it, for that alone I'm graceful enough.
Each time I want to complain about the reversed mixture lever in the Spitfire, I talk to myself: well, at least that is historically much more accurate than the Redcoats firing tracers in the XVIII century.

I have no idea what to make of what you just said, but i think if you cut out 90% of what you said ie the empire total war stuff as you have the wrong forum and its irrelivant to this thread, you left with a succulent 10% containing - you calling others in this thread spoiled, and you talking to yourself about redcoats firing tracers so I guess really there is only 5% relevant to this thread in what you said.

That is to say your reply apears to have alot of forum history associated with it.. Yet how can that be what with this being your FIRST POST?

I bought the game just like you bought the game ACE-OF-ACES. I am entitled to my own opinion...UNLIKE YOU, I did not put anyone down or write a long dissertation on what is wrong or right. Is this not a forum to voice our opinions, concerns and thoughts among fellow gamers who share the same passion? Or am I in the wrong place? I know one thing though, I really doubt it is a vessel for you to take pot shots at individuals just because you don't agree with their opinions....Yes, first post, being in the military doesn't afford me alot of time, so I usually read and stay behind the scenes, but this is my favorite game and I am watching its everystep with frustration more often than not. HEY this is my 2nd post!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Droopsnoot, I'm hoping they fix the CTDs...IMHO that is a game breaker for most...

VR,

26

Very true mister26, I'm hoping they are related to the graphics engine as they wernt as bad before the last patch, so logically the re-write of code for graphics should fix it. I'm hoping too for a real fullscreen, so no flashing desktop.
