More detailed atmospheric modelling in general would be very nice I think. It'd be cool if you could have the ups and downs by mountains etc also...
But they should at least do variable wind and direction, in different layers at different altitudes.

It was already stated that we will have realistic weather and turbulences in BoB. IIRC it was also said, that clouds are directly affected by it. Propwash will also be included IIRC.

http://www.simhq.com/_air8/air_265c.html :
Q: Is the wind direction in BoB always the same? Is there wind at altitude?
A: There will be various winds during the flight time. Even more than you may imagine.

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=t...864#3801037864 :

O.M.: Feel of the flying will not change much. We think that in IL-2 physics are close to reality, so you can correct all you want, general feeling will not change. Simply we`ll add more details. Engine of BOB has nothing in common with engine of IL-2, it`s even written in the different language. We are modeling that only wind, but many other things, for example: thermal up-streams and different cloud effect..

As Feuerfalke says, this is going to happen.
Actually, I think this is one of the major improvements of SoW engine, compared to IL-2's and a huge bet for Oleg and his team.

Yes I'd guess it takes alot of time and effort to get these things right. I'm very glad to read those quotes in Falke's post, time will to what extent they've gone with it

It will be interesting to see how this sim will "feel" on a force feed back stick.

Take Offs and especially landings will be a lot more interesting with real wind and turbulences. I hope the SOW based Korea will feature carrier operations.
