I'm with you Slatz!

I think that the colours are great - the colours in the original/early versions were too bright & that lime colour dominated - they've got it right now!!

I have no doubt that the sim is going to progress well - IL-2/Forgotten Battles/Pacific Fighters/1946 were all great and well-supported by the developers.

I'm happy with the way things are going ... forwrad all the time!

+1 I love the sim and it will only get better.

Nothing comes close to the feeling of flight I get with CloD. I get enough pleasure just flying around sight seeing without all the other bells and whistles.

I don't think anyone will come up with a better sound engine either - did you catch the sound of multiple aircraft passing overhead in the last update vid.....impressive stuff.

CTD issue must be fixed though as it does spoil things.

Regardless of the CTD issue, this patch has been the best for online. Before this we couldn't shut off custom skins, and I don't think it would take too long before anyone remembers how badly the stuttering was when they were on. (Even though they don't work properly being shut off lol)

So I don't think I'd want a roll back other than to see some of the early colors. I just can't wait for the day we can actually use clouds. The empty blue sky gets old

I like the positive statements!

I was just putting an idea out... Seemed to me the CTD was worse after beta 1 & 2. Maybe I am wrong.

Dont get me wrong, Im all for the devs and the potential of this great sim!

For me the current terrain colours from medium altitude over England are shockingly bad.

Maybe it gets better with higher settings? I wouldn't know. I can't run it.

Colours seemed to take a step forward with the last beta patch then go back again for the official one. I'm hoping they do some more 'fiddling' for the next patch.

Colors are a subjective perseption. Personaly I prefered the original colors but I would never roll back because of this. Maybe the hint that CTDs were less frequent before a certain patch helps the team in their struggle to make the best WW2 Flightsim.

One more word about the colors: Looking into the config files there are some tweaks like gamma-GT. Maybe when the new graphic update is here there is a possibility to implement ways/possibilitys to customize at least gamma-GT. I realy dont wanna change the settings of my screen all the time to adjust the appearance of the game.

The one thing I don't like is the extreme bright tone of the landscape at around 12 o' clock. In the morning/evening the landscape looks just incredible though.
But around midday it looks not very realistic... more like a dusty mediterranean scenery. Maybe this changes after having heavy cloud formations which darkens the landscape below...

And this is why it is subjective, and must be a nightmare for the devs, because other people will tell you they think midday is fine, but morning/evening is wrong!

Not to mention that it looks different on each and every monitor.
