Last night on Atag a few of the squad took the Ju87 up and had a great time. I kept the revs at 2100 and the Stuka felt very comfortable at those revs, but could I run a few more revs without blowing the engine?

Hi. Depends of the manifold pressure too, 2100 rpm, and 1,2 ata Max! This is critical when changing the supercharger. It happened that I was able to fight for minutes with full gas at sea level, but at other times quickly damaged. Dont know exactly why... I noticed the engines are more sensitive if you're flying high (have to keep the rev. and manif.press. values within limits, otherwise the engine will dead within seconds).

According to the Ju 87 B manual the following settings are permissable:
Taxiing: 1,10 ata - 2000 RPM (boost level in Start/Steigen setting = forward) 1 min limit: 1,20 ata - 2200 RPM (boost level in Start/Steigen setting = forward) 5 min limit: 1,10 ata - 2200 RPM (boost level in Start/Steigen setting = forward) max continuous power: 1,05 ata - 2100 RPM (boost level in Reise setting = pulled back) Last edited by csThor; 02-07-2012 at 02:44 PM. |

Dont you use the super charger over 3000 or 3500? It really shifts when you use wep as well!
