Good to see the progress!

It will bring many new players to Il-2 via WoT >> WoWP >> WoP >> Il-2

Battle of Britain

If they merge air, ground and sea action it can be fun.

S!

Depending how you implement F2P. In World Of Tanks it is more or less Pay2Win as with gold you can get XP converted and you gain more of it with a Premium account etc. So really depends how Gaijin will work it out..is it a true F2P or a P2W.

You are confusing World of Planes to World of Warplanes, which is from Wargaming.net the same company providing World of Tanks and World of Battleships. This could be merged and I wasn't too surprised if it's somewhere on the roadmap.

This one World of Planes comes from the Gaijin which has done IL-2: Birds/Wings of Prey. So no combined arms merging opportunities available there.

Actually they plan on doing combined elements in the future. The second post in this thread quoted Gaijin as saying such. I believe its in the FAQs somewhere on the forums and whatnot over at Gaijin. Not trying to be rude, just letting you know.

Most definately you are not rude by bearing such an exciting news. I seemed to missed that on Gaijin's newsfeed.
I thank you Sir for these news!

VERY interesting indeed, long live the genre
funny how these guys seem to be getting ahead with what CLoD project was about; just imagine if Gaijin were to join efforts with CLoD team...

WoP will also be F2P ?
i thought WoWP would 'only' be.This WoT brother i will download and play some few times (as i did with WoT), but it has few of a simulation in it for me

WoP, i counted more like a IL2 classic with better graphics. But with version 4.11 most propably IL2 is still ahead in kind of beeing a simulation.

yeh i've just had another look.

As far as i know it was/will be free to play used to say it on the old website and a quick google search says it was advertised as being free to play - now after looking through the new website there's no mention of it being F2P anymore but that doesn't mean it won't be as a few areas don't seem to be completed yet. might pop the question on their forums.

edit : looks like it is still F2P no specifics though i'm assuming WOT style F2P
