I LOL at all the negative comments these online war games get here (WoT, WoP etc.). They are not supposed to be super advanced simulations where you need a 200€ HOTAS and a NASA type PC. They are, just like WoT, just quick instant fun. Is that so bad? I for one can appreciate the detailed and "realistic" start-up procedures and engine management in CloD but sometimes it's just not fun and you want some fast fun and that's where these online games come in. They're not even competing with CloD, if that's what you're worried about. It's very obvious that it's the "glass half full brigade" that like to bash these kinds of games, everything for the "mother-game". I agree that World of Warplanes doesn't look super, Gaijin's effort looks much more interesting so far. If you think these games are sims you are either uninformed or deluded.

These games are perfect entries in to real simming. You think I got my affection for sims through MS Flight Simulator? nope! It was "Top Gun" for the Nintendo 8-bit back in the eighties that gave me the first taste of what was to become a life long interest/addiction.
