Long story short, it combines 3 monitors into 1, such that you only need one video card.

Example of typical TH2G setup

The periferal vission of this kind of setup is hard to beat.. For examlple, when I look left (270) I can still see the tip of the nose of my AC in the RHS screen and the tip of the tail of my AC in the LHS

So, if your looking for a cheap way to do widescreen.. think TH2G.. You can pick up 3 normal size monitors cheaper than one big wide one.. Only real downside is the boarders of the monitors.. but.. to be honest, you dont even notice them after playing awhile
