Tick the "spawn parked" or the "scramble" box in the aircraft "group properties tab"

Thanks for your reply, I do know how to create aircraft in this way. I guess what i'm asking is how do you use the Spawn area function under object browser?

Spawn area is used to create spawn points for dogfight missions. Select the type & number of aircraft you want at the spawn area. You can either Place the spawn area inside the circle around an airfield or place the spawn area anywhere on the map (if you are using air-start spawns). Launch the mission as a dogfight. You should get the option the click on the base & spawn there in your desired aircraft.
