Future proof your PC. Buy the 3gig it can play every game maximum graphics and will for a good two years I would expect. I always got the bigger better card which sees me wanting to upgrade every 2.5-3years. Never feel I need to upgrade every year.
My rig now plays Il2 and Skyrim on ultra settings, full graphics, and 8 frame pre-rended. Never a stutter. Il2 avg 84fps Max 157 and I was on the Atag for 14 hours last night.. did not go to bed  got up to 58 people on the server and system was smooth as silk in huge dogfigts and lots of action.just my 2 cents
