The first release is as you can see far better for the ATi card than the second release. I'm running a ATi HD3870 using Cat 8.1 drivers by the way.

I can confirm this. With the 2nd beta dll's in combination with water=2 the fog is not working over the water. Try flying early in the morning and you will see all the rivers right through the fog. No problem with water=1 though.

I'm also using ATI HD 3870 and Cat 8.1.
