My brother in law is involved with a car club that does time trials around a short course,rally stile. A couple of years ago he got himself one of the new generation Subaru STI something something from the factory in Japan. Any how it turns out the fastest car around the circuit is ,you guest it a 20 something year old MX5 with a turbo and some suspension work.

That reminds me of the time 'Top Gear' tested a Bugatti Veyron against a Caterham fitted with a Ford Focus engine. Have a guess which had the best lap time?!
