I just lost connection.

I was chasing a 109 on the deck and after I ran out of ammo, the spitfire that was with me started chewing him up. It was almost a done deal, when I saw both of them warp in the distance. I lost connection few seconds after. I think more than one server lost connection.

I think some German spy cut the line so that 109 can get away.

There were 180 people online earlier today, so don't sweat it. Some kind of steam issue I'd wager.

What, 180 on ATAG? I could barely imagine the furballs with numbers like that, would be fantastic trying to protect a raid with huge numbers of escorts and attackers!!!

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.
