How to reinstall?

I can understand what you are saying Warhound but I have no problems with the game other than specifically not being able to pick a Rotol Hurricane (just this plane) and just some of the single missions! I am trying a complete reinstall now to see if that fixes it.

After a steam uninstall there's still a shitload of stuff (even missions me think) under program files. U might need fresh ones.

OK so far I have:
Deleted the 1c folder
Deleted local content in steam
Deleted il2 from steammapps
Problem still persists, game hangs at 98% when choosing the rotol Hurri, and only some single missions.
Obviously there is some c*ap hiding somewhere, that I reckon nothing short of a fresh windows 7 re install will fix! And I'm not going to do that just now...

Think I fixed it! After the last install every time I hit 'Esc' in game the game crashed, and I had to kill the .exe by task manager. I noticed steam cloud was on again, disabled that, and now everything seems to work, the rotol Hurri, single missions etc.Bloody weird...
