I think spouses, girlfriends and the like... think they have to keep you off balance.

They will use any convenient thing they think will irritate us guys. They aren't very creative about the process. They just use anything convenient to mess with your head.

Women like to equate things that interest you as being childish and useless.
It is a woman thing to keep you guessing and off your game.

If you work too much (according to them) they call you workaholic, if you are interested in sex you are sexual addict, if you smoke you are a chimney or worse.

The thing is male putdowns are too numerous to mention, but usually you can acquire them when you are doing anything a woman can tag you with.

There is no safe ground or safe conduct, when a woman wants to nail you they usually don't think about it very hard. The more stupid her response the more it gets to you, I think that is because you can't argue with an idiot. So you are stuck with her stupid response that is to stupid to for you to provide a sensible response.
