new test, same mission, same ingame settings: as Jayrc suggested i went to config and saw "stereomode=3988180"
I changed that to 0 (zero) and post patch fps 18 changed to fps 30.
So this is an improvement for me
Thnx Jayrc

-same mission, same settings, checked fps the moment mission starts: 33 fps
-removed cache files and shader files
-same mission,same settings: 37 fps
-applied patch and Hotfix
-same mission same settings: 18 fps
-removed cahe files and shader files
-same mission same settings: 18 fps
All fps are "average" at the beginning of the mission

Don't see what i can do more, and this is only about fps...didn't test anything else

PS: this is my original post on this matter:
-Steam: checked cache integrety
-deleted all files in cache folder
-deleted all files from "shaders" folder
-all settings to medium,1920x1200
-no AA,SSAO nor Vsync

I guess i am now in the last official patch.

Flew quick mission over Kent, in one Hurri: FPS 33 avarage

Patched to 15866, installed Hotfix

Flew same mission with same settings: FPS 18 avarage ! ! ! ! !

i7 quadcore 965 @ 3.20 Ghz
Nvidia GTX 295
6 gig DDR3 RAM
Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Becoming afraid my FPS will go under 10 with next patch

Obviously, the new patch costs me at least 15 fps on my system ( not the highest end PC but as told not the lower end PC eighter) , and the test is carried out in a objective, standardised way: same settings and same mission every time. Pitty

Default Launcher.exe has crashed

Here goes nothing.
The game as always crashes 10 to 15 minutes in to the game.
I've cleared the cache files.
Then the crash sometimes freezing the whole rig.
I've searched for the crash dump folder in the main game folder but it does not exist.
Overall the game is laggy meaning big freezes once and awhile
The flickering shadows are most annoying and a deal breaker for me.
current video driver is 280.26 on 560ti.

I did apply the hot fix.

I will test some more but it is a slow process as the crashes occur often.

Default My remarks

The new patch 2 is superb.
I think the game has realy progressed well
Think you Mr LUTHIER and all the team

1 - The colors are better but i think the planes and the cockpits sould be
-25% or -30% contrast. They are a little too dark.
2 - The sounds are better but it miss always the tipical motor sound of Real
Spit and the cockpit gun sound is too low.
3 - The sound of the bullets hitting the cockpit are also too low
I thing it must be terrible and panicking with a little of smoke
when the bullets hit the instruments
4 - To enter in the atmosphere of the fight it necessary to have interior
sounds more strong even it is not entirely exact
5 - It while be very well if the pilote could go out of is plane after have cut
his motor
6 - The crash smoke sould be no regular with a slant, and volume change

Thank you for you big work

Engine sounds for start and warm up in the Tiger Moth is corrupt for me, is fine once it's running though.

Hi folks!
Just checked back in here to see how development of CoD is doing. Getting a little shocked till it looks like things are as bad as they were, when i kickt CoD off my harddisk in May/June?

So, one question: Is it worth it to install COD again, or is it still some kind of a sim with high potential but Alpha-Release style gameplay?

The comm is still out of order? huh... annoying!

Greetings

The crash dump folder is in the 1c_softclub folder in your 'my documents' on C drive, not in the Steam folder as said in Luthier's post (at least in Win 7 that is, but I assume similar area for all win versions)

Default E4 Autopitch bug

After a high speed dive when pitch automatically drives down to 8:30 the pitch is sticked and will stay at 08:30 even during the following climb.
You have to switch back to manual pitch, increase the pitch manual a few degrees, than you can switch back to autopitch which is than working regular again.
