Hello,

I jsut gave 4.09b the first real try and found out that i got something I never had before.. VERY annoying micro stutters and a totally screwed sound. I only hear something properly when looking from the plane's 5 o'clock forward. Only sound stuttering from the cockpit view expet looking left.. wtf. It worked perfectly before.

e6850
8800GTX
4GB RAM
Vista32
no "modded" il2
Forceware 169.09

That'S what some testing revealed:

vanilla 409 DLLs:
stutters
weird sound errors (disappearing engine sound at certain view angles, menu musik and guns seem to work though)

Thor's 409 DLLs
better performance
weird sound errors

408 DLLs copied back in
good performance
perfect sound
slovakia doesn't load anymore

408 sound DLLs, remaining vanilla 409 DLLs
stutters
perfect sound

During all tests the conf.ini was untouched with all settings at 408 level

I'd have no problems using the old DLLs but why does the FMB freeze when trying to open a slovakia mission file/map?

EDIT:

ok, I jsut took 1 and 1 and combined what delivered the best results:

408 sound DLLs
409 Thor DLLs for the rest

- loads Slovakia
- stutter free
- sound as before

From the bits of sound i did get with 409 DLLs i thought I got a little ritcher sound, can someone confirm that?
