ive been playing with contrast on my system and it does make the grey haze look better, i feel whoever tuned it has got lower than average settings for contrast.

Maybe you mean he got higher than average settings for contrast, and that lead him to make haze appear ever darker on a normal contrast setting display..

indeed i ment mine is generally lower than his by perception.

also lol ive angled my lcd monitor more upwards, and it looks better. so yeah theres possibly a contrast issue. i dont declare mine is correct but iam a graphic artist at heart so my sentiments surely mean somthing. and i like to look on the monitor directly with no angles. tilting the thing makes it darker and more contrasty.

the wonderfull thing about these HD lighting effects is that im pretty sure its all procedural in essence. but the config files are too complicated for me presently.
