Graphics look really nice though. It's like next gen Blazing Angels, which to me is no bad thing..sometimes all you need are simple things to amuse

I ordered it anyway. No idea when I will get around to playing it but I will give my honest opinion when I do

Reviews are starting to appear now this game is out, and they arn't good. This one is especialy low scoring http://www.nowgamer.com/reviews/xbox...rs?o=0#listing although the reviewer is a idiot.

With hindsight, it’s easy to see why the WWII genre stopped creating compelling experiences, and studios like Gearbox are taking it in new directions with Brothers In Arms: Furious 4. To give Air Conflict’s the benefit of the doubt as one of the only new WWII shooters to come out in the last few years, would be to ignore the genuinely good games that are already out there.
Urmmm hello? Birds of Prey? Battlestations Pacific?

hello guys!

after buy air conflict,i permit me to share with u my own opinion about this game.for the guys who don't know, buy or not buy ,here is my opinion after 5 or 6 hours in this game.

my opinion about air conflict:

1-the story:
the hero is a girl!!yes not a joke,i find it nice ,in fact the daughter of a ww1 pilot killed in 1916.the bad thing is that the nice starting of this story stop here!we find again this female hero in 1941 in tobrouk and it become crazy and unrealistic: u fly in a sopwith camel and u fight again the me109!!a story of contraband in a middle of ww2!!not really realistic!i m disappointed!

2-the game :
the planes moves are totally unrealistic!!jerky,u can't stall:u can stop the engine and immediatly up the throttle and it is ok ,very hard to crash (in the highest difficulty : ace)in rookie mode it is impossible to crash!!lol!!in fact the moves of the planes are the moves of an alien ufo ,not the moves of a ww2 plane!!!

3-graphs :
maybe the best of the game but u find quickly his limits, the sky is very nice and the sun light effect are very good, better than il2 i think, planes are just nice, the sun down effects are very nice too ,the explosions of the ennemy planes are good too, u can shoot the infantry, the ground vehicles and tanks are nice but that is all ,the trees are the same in all the maps, their moves are unrealistic, the ennemy intelligence,in the solo campain is like a bird brain ,totally stupid even if the rear gunner of the bombers are very dangerous.

4-the mode simulator
lol,it call simulator mode but it is not one,in fact u can just up or down the landing gears!!the cockpit view is not too bad ,it give a touch of realist to the game but not as good as il2!

5- the fun
this game can be fun,if u just start to play your first plane game or if u like arcade, and u can fly in ww1 planes in cockpit view too,it change and it is fun,but that is all.
for a simulator lover ,my advice is : don't buy!!

6-16 planes to unlock ,49 missions.(49 missions, one good point for the game, very long to finish all,but too easy, even if in max difficulty, some missions can be hard but not really very very hot,the best is to start the game in highest difficulty : ace)

7- multiplayers : in fact i just did a few games and ...a nightmare so bad,so not nice ,so unrealistic...that i stop to played it quickly!!impossible to shoot a plane with the machine guns!!!a little damages, that's all!!it is easier to shoot a plane in bop!!!even in bop arcade where u need a lot of bullets to shoot one!!the few kills i did in air conf and the only kills i saw from the others players(i met i think 12 or 13 others players)were made by ... the rockets!!!!crazy!!

8- my personnal general opinion : 9/20 (and i'm very kind!)

if u don't know ,buy or not buy ,it can help u,even if it is just my opinion but the official critics seems just a little better but not a lot.

sincerely
olife

Agree with your comments on this Oli. My copy was delayed when they delivered the PC version by mistake and I had to wait while I posted it back and they sent PS3 replacent. During that delay the price of the game dropped by half and if I had waited I could have got it for £14.99

Its very poor. The only redeeming features are the fact it supports 3D TVs and Playstation Move. Graphics are quite nice but the controls are really bad. Full speed climb in any aircraft results in an instant stall warning. Dogfights are basically a case of spinning round with one eye on the radar looking for red dots.

All in all if BoP is a ferrari and Heroes Over Europe is a Lada then this game is a Micra. Looks ok but you wouldn't pick it unless nothing else was available

agree with u i forgot the fact that the only moment u can stall is when u try to climb ,to do a loop...impossible!!!!U STALL!!!!!!!!!!!

ps: lol!!!your story of ferrari ,lada and micra is funny and i'm totaly agree with u!!!!

Yeah I was going to wait until it got cheap, but ive decided to buy Blazing angels 2 used for £5 instead. At least in that you get to fly some unusual planes. That should give me some cheap arcade action while we wait for Birds of Steel.

Just by watching the short clip...I was convinced that I wasn't going to even consider buying...If I was 10 years old and if they had video games back then...maybe I would have considered it...even then, I might have to think hard about it
