This quote from that thread says it all in a nutshell:

Agree with RONE. Utterly pointless poll. I and many others will get what we want - but elsewhere. Be sure
The folks at AAA have unleshed a monster that will now eat them alive, and unfortunately all of the non-mod players as well.

Online will come crashing down within 2 or 3 months at best, unless Oleg comes up with some fix.

Thanks a lot for trashing the best online experience that most of us have ever had.

Used the link to AAA...looked at it for about 1 min..and wanted to puke.

"Lets leave the FM/DM alone for online playebility sake"...what a joke.

What a suprise, several names that keeps popping up in here are in there to..what a shocker.

Like any of u (u know who u are) can take the high ground on anything regarding this game...pfff.

U people crack me up..lol

On the good side though: I compiled my own personal "who not to fly with...today or anyday" list.

Very handy indeed. ( or more like a list of who not to cover..ever) lol

Thx.

Hardly... I posted that with all the hopes that SOMEONE from AAA would do just what Jolly did... and I salute him here as well as there for taking the stance that he has... ~!S!~

El that all may be true.. but I for one do not blame the folks @ AAA.. I blame whoever the people where who hacked the sim in the first place and so irresponsibly released the hack into cyberspace. Many of the folks @ AAA have just jumped on that train... and I know that many of them there just want to make the sim better and they feel that modding is the way to do it. These are some of the same people who jumped into some of the threads @ UBI over the years when threads on modding the series would come up and were on the "why not mod side". We cannot label all these guys as "hacker" "cheaters" and bastiges all..... I know some of these guys.. and I still have respect for some of them and in light of the facts as they are have no choice but to have faith in them, that they will just do what they said.

As for the two posters in the quote above from you...? Well one of them is such a punk that he is not even man enough to use his own name.. he has to go by "username".. and the other one? Well he is not alone of course.... but the deed is done, and we all knew that from day one, even if it was a huge pill to swallow for many.. that is why some of us are still in such pain over the facts as they are because lets face it.. the last unhacked combat flight sim which also happens to be the best WWII combat sim ever made to date no longer has the fidelity that has until now kept it even more unique among the genre than the quality of the sim itself.. ... and as the entire anti mod camp feared from day one, those who will cheat, those who are so "knowledgeable" (and I use the term very loosely and with the utmost facetiousness) that they are convinced that 1C couldn't have gotten it right or that they have what it takes to "tweak" the FMs and DMs, which as we all know is the first step on the banana peel of that slippery slope to the downside of modding that is just as much a fact as the fact that the sim, we all love is now hacked are already on their quest to "improve" on the 1C model. Just as with the folks @ AAA.. there is nothing we can do about it... unless of course somebody can come up with a hack defeater/detector as I seriousl.y hope that 1C will do in spite of what Oleg said.... in the meantime lets keep it about the simming.. know wyhere AAA stands.. know also that there is a community of the sith that is out there.. but until you get a mod that will let you look into a flyer's heart... fly the sim man.. fly the sim and try to have as much fun as you can till BoB comes out... and then we can start the party anew.
