compared to the number of users....those complaining that THEIR game has been ruined (not THE game has been ruined) may be the noisiest here....but they actually represent a tiny fraction

Though to be fair I can’t understand how you can describe Falcon 4.0 online as “blowing”. I’ve flown it online for the best part of 6 years in various incarnations and it’s the best online experience I’ve ever had…I assume it’s the fact that competitive “force on force” engagements are very much secondary to co-operative missions that has coloured your opinion. Obviously IL2 is by far the most widely played game on Hyperlobby…but that’s simply because use of Hyperlobby isn’t part of the online culture in other games…they are played through dedicated or squadron servers or through peer to peer sessions…so to say very few people play online through Hyperlobby, is a very different thing from saying very few people play online full stop. IL2 is popular on Hyperlobby because it lends itself exceptionally well to that environment…it lacks a steep learning curve and is relatively straightforward to learn and play and the very broad base of flyables from all nationalities mean it is ideal for competitive dogfights. |

the majority of users "may" be offline players who aren´t affected but here, in this forum, i think the majority are online player who are affected if the balance is distorted. i really believe that not everybody who uses the sound-hack ist cheating, but there are always people who will use any advantage they can get to win. Those hacks might be used this way if its easy to do. Of course there where hacks before the sound-hack but those where only used by a very, very small number of people and didn´t matter in the whole picture. When every dick, bill or harry can use a hack to his advantage the online play will be dead for all "serious" players who are playing full real. robtek
