Their profession is to create games, not to answer a million questions that goes something like "are we there yet?".

I think that communication between developer and community is a very nice thing to have, but I'm not going to demand it when it is temporarily absent.
Luthier have made it clear what their intentions are, and that they would like to be more active in the forums, that should be good enough, anyhow it's quite professional.

I think this could have been valid in the 90s, when there was no internet, but every software house today shows commitment towards comms with customers/fans etc.. if anything it's common sense..
