Hi,

If your card is equiv to a 5770, I run my game on medium settings plus grass, shadows and roads, with AA, Vsync, SSAO and epi filter off.

The default 'balanced settings in standard 3d settings on the card are fine, but I sometimes change it to custom - application controlled for AA and AF, and maximum performance for everything else, tess off and triple buffering unchecked.

I've overclocked the card to 950/1425mhz in ati overdrive which seems to lessen the shadow flickering problem, but may be a placebo effect.

This gives min 7, max 52, avg 25 fps in 'Black Death' track which is nicely playable in game.

I think the distant cotton wool trees are normal, also that they look as though they have a black border in some circumstances, judging by vids posted by various members.

I'd be interested to see your black death benchmark if that's possible, just to compare.

The sound issues are something well known and being worked on, the load time for me is about 3 seconds. I always pause the game initially until it stabilizes. The higher your settings, the longer the load.

Hope this helps.
