I assumed it was, but just couldnt get anything from it....

It isnt I'm afraid. I'm not that cultured to have considered Shakespeare!
The character is from a famous sci-fi series that ran through the 60's, 70's and early 80's and has had a recent revival in the 00's.

The first picture is a famous musician btw
