Three new ones today, two of those are from JG26 which must have had a larger number of E-3's than any other unit - or perhaps they've only managed to end up in lots of more photos! The third machine is from JG51 and was flown by a pilot named Arthur Haase, Haase means hare in German so the side of the aircraft had a very cool personal marking depicting a hare with binoculars and a shotgun. I really spent time on that marking and it turned out very nice I must say...

Thanks! I really appreciate all your kind words! Here's two more - these beeing E-3B's i.e. Jabos. They've got their own section now. I discovered that my first version of Hans-Karl Mayers E-3 was used as a Jabo in October 1940 so I've moved that version (as seen below) to the E-3B section and changed the color of the spinner, I discovered that it was RLM70 during the Jabo days of October.

The second skin I hope will lead to discussion! It's the yellow 1 flown by Walter Rupp when he had to bellyland at Manston on October 17:th. It is depicted in the Jagdwaffe series with a yellow nose covering not only the enginecowling but the panels behind with the supercharger intake as well as the panel in front of the windscreen. I've previously done a skin for IL-2 1946 like that. Looking at the pictures though I came to realise that with those spots around the red band not to mention the dark paint on the top of the cowling, it would have been some very strange wear and tear that would have made a yellow nose look like that. Not to mention that no other JG53 aircraft has ever been found with the yellow on the nose extending that far back. Belive it or not, this is my take!

I haven't found any good references for any JG27 Bf109E-3's. Once I've finished the planned E-3's I'll be moving on to E-1's and I bet I'll find some JG27 skins then. Progress might be a little slow during summer though...
