I actually like Crimson Skies. I like it's overall silliness and the unpretentious nature of the game and would love to see a Crimson Skies 2. Still, I dont have very high hopes for this one and will certainly rent it before I buy it.

This is out on Friday. For anyone interested you can get it from Bee.com for £20 with this promotion:

The trailer showing the infantry and tanks looks interesting. Never seen that level of detail before. The spray of blood on strafed infantry looks amusing

I'm willing to bet it will be under £20 everywhere a couple of weeks after release anyway.

Pretty positive preview here. There are some gameplay vids on YouTube of the PC version and it looks pretty fun to me

Default Auto Lock on!!!

Just watch a utube vid of this game, graphics are ok, but the physics stink and they have auto lock on, where all you have to do is fire.

The preview says there are different flight models. Pretty sure the videos on YouTube must be easy mode. I watched one where the guy is in a sopwith camel and lands on the battlefield and then drives around running over infantrymen!
Graphics look really nice though. It's like next gen Blazing Angels, which to me is no bad thing..sometimes all you need are simple things to amuse

I ordered it anyway. No idea when I will get around to playing it but I will give my honest opinion when I do
