New rig, need your expertise

Sold my old rig for € 400
-> congrats!

Looking for a new one now.
Will be one with i7-2600K 3,4 Ghz and GTX590 3GB.
-> Excellent choice!

PC comes with 8GB DDR 1333Mhz.
-> which is good
I am not good in maths, I presume this means 666MHz RAMs (x2 = 1332) thus my recommendation would be to go for 1600MhZ RAM (800MHz x2) in order to be able to overclock your CPU the day you feel like it.

I can upgrade to 16GB for € 90 extra. Will I see considerable effect on FPS playing missions with around 50 aircraft?
-> I do not think so.
But with more RAM you could set up big RAMDISKs (I have one 6Gb RAMDISK on my system), it is a nice option if you have Gb to spare.
