Try facetracknoir, some are getting good results using that:

facetracknoir is very cpu demanding and not precise as freetrack

I never tried freetrack, but usually play facetracknoir and it is not cpu demanding, only 3% on a quadcore. And it is precise enough, but above all, you don't have modify any hardware to use it. Just download the software and you are ready to go in minutes.

3%? you are wrong... make a log of cpu usage and you'll see that is much more than 3%

My webcam is a logitech 5000 pro

i'm not kidding, i'm serious, and i don't need to watch youtube videos because i installed it and uninstalled the next day, but if you are happy with it, good for you, it's not my business, probably we have different ideas of what is cpu demanding..

Yeah I tried out facetracknoir and the results were not very good at all. There was giant amounts of lag between the time I would move my head and it would get any reaction on the screen. Maybe it was something to do with the fact that I removed the IR filter from my camera and that is giving it a bad picture or something. But for now I still use freetrack.
The ultimate solution will be whenever anybody makes something that uses a Kinect I guess |
