I had no grass when I was running winxp 64 bit OS upgraded to windows 7 pro and have grass now. Im guessing it has to do with directx9 it also fixed other graphic issues for me black lines aircraft textures and the game looks and runs much better for me with windows 7 pro then it did with win xp 64 bit.Well worth the upgrade in my opinion.

I had that grass after I changed to dx11 in the ini-file to see if I gained any frames (nope). When I reverted back to dx10 the problem was solved.

I'll be upgrading to 7 soon, I'll post my results. Seems strange though that Directx9 is no longer supported.

It is...kind of. Check your conf.ini if you've got "Render=D3D09_0".

Btw, apparently moving from XP to 7 will do wonders for your game.
