In real life, the propeller starts to become more visible and individual blades can be seen rotating at lower RPM. Very much like what's currently modeled. For more perfect visuals, I'd say the prop disc should remain mostly invisible until RPM drops to around 1200 RPM or so... but still, this is a very small issue. I'm just so very glad the props don't look like IL-2 1946. Those were terrible.
Yes, I'm a real pilot. Aircraft mechanic too, so I've done my share of standing right next to spinning propellers even closer than the pilots ever get.
I'll admit I see a random flickering effect in the prop disc for just a split second every once in a while; that's not very realistic. I'm not sure whether it's a bug or a feature... either way it's a small enough issue to ignore, IMO.

Exactly. Just as you say the prop is almost invisible, and in CoD until the latest patch it felt very good. Now there is a constant flickering / rotating effect that annoys me so much I can't play the game! It's completely unrealistic...
