My on-line performance (>20 FPS) is pathetic regardless of settings.

have you tried just running one card? i ask because you should be getting 60+ fps with your rig and the only thing i can see in your specs that would cause a bottle neck is the XFIRE and the hydra you are running.

Have not tried. At this point I'm ready to put the sim down until the next patch comes out.

I notice your field of view is not completely stuffed by default. Has something changed in a patch to automatically handle aspect ratios other than 4:3 or have you been playing with configs to alter it? I know there's a command to manually increase/decrease FoV but it's still based around a 4:3 AR and so the natural consequence is that you get Vert-, which is disorienting and gives me headaches. True widescreen support would be Hor+ only and yours doesn't look too far off that in the clip you posted, but it's hard to be sure based on a small YouTube video.

EDIT: Just gave it another crack. Clearly nothing was changed in a patch, it's still Vert- and horrible to look at. Yours still looks better than mine, so I'm curious if you've found a config setting somewhere that I haven't? Or maybe yours is still Vert- and you're being conservative on how far back you zoom it?

Something did change with 14550. By default zoom level is correct, before it was too close.
Not sure what the difference is between increasing the FOV and Hor+? There is no loss of vertical content and no fisheye effect that would result from Vert-.

Your headache is probably the result of stuttering.

I may have a cache issue, because I definitely still have Vert- and manually increasing the FoV gives a serious fisheye effect. I do not have particularly serious stuttering at the moment and it doesn't give me headaches regardless. It gets my blood pressure up but that's not the same.

EDIT: Yep, cache problem. They have indeed swapped out their hardcoded values for a proper algorithm. I wonder if they borrowed the one I posted a few weeks back? Doesn't matter either way, I'm just happy it's working. Performance is still pretty awful but it's a start!

Random side question, I see you have a HOTAS Warthog. Are you using a custom TARGET profile for it or just manually binding controls in game?
