I know, I could probley drive better with a keyboard than that guy. But I believe he was showing the truck/trailer handling and braking abilities.
Since this is a teaser, it helps show the would-be player what he's going seeing and what s/he's going to need to deal with in this game.

He was using a wheel. You can see it. But with his erratic driving, he wasn't USING it.
The guy drives like a complete dummy at times. Makes me want to push him off and show him how it's done.
