We are the games official beta testers. Get used to it.
When it hits the US in June/July the game will be great |

So many major bugs and in two patches we have had some performance fixes, don't expect miracles in such a short time. |

One question !
Apart from the blue switch for proppitch on the dashboard of the 109 that works with the new patch now the wrong way, up is down and down is up - is the propitch the way it is now on the Bf109, historically realistic, yes or no ? My impression, it was better to handle before but you can get used to the new handling, put it up or down and then back to neutral to lock the pitch at a certain degree. It takes more attention but once you are used to it, it becomes a habit. As I dont like to change habits all the time, I`d like to know, is it going to stay that way or will I have to change flighthabits again with the next patch ? So far game runs smooth on my pc with the latest patch, discovered no major deficiencies yet but fix that wrong proppitch switch on the 109 dashboard. Before the latest patch it was ok ! Patch tested.
I7 920 OC to 3,33Ghz 6GB RAM DDR3 Nvidia GTX 275 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits. Things done before flying: 1. Rebuilded the specific video configuration for launcher.exe in NVidia control panel. The video config I had for it, has misteriously disappeared... 2. Moved the folder My Documents/1CSoftclub to another place (just to backup). 3. Started CoD. 4. Set the graphic config to real full screen, Vsync activated, adjusted buildings amount to High, Building textures to Low, trees to low but kept all the rest of the parameters on medium-high. 5. Exited the simulator. 6. Checked the new folder My Documents/1CSoftclub, and copied into it the skins, missions, tracks and configs from the backup. 7. Set write permissions to all folder (it was in read only). Facts tested in offline flight... 1.FMB: -Changes in ammo are now saved. -Changes in skins are not saved; when you exit the "My plane" screen and enter again you just see it by default again. Anyway I see new skins I did not see before. -New missions are here; attack to columns, bridges and airfields. 2.Free flight over London: -Fps stable like a rock at 20-22. Smooth for me. 3. Black death track: -Sound of engines still missing. -Bombs do not bounce anymore. -Bf110 still seen escaping with flaps down. -Wider view observed. Interested in how to set it for a normal flight. 4. Landscape Flyby track: -Fps stable and smooth. Ths track was annoyingly stuttering for me. 5. Bf-109 pich test: -I'm using a newly bought Saitek Throttle Quadrant. The new way to modify the pitch works fine without modifying any axe. Just have to keep the pitch lever at positions between 25 and 75% to keep it fixed; outside this, the pitch increases or reduces. Found this realistic enough. -IA is still running much more than me. -Cannot reach more than 450 km/h in low level flight, temp 18, pressure 993, pitch at 10:10, full throttle, radiator to mid and overboost on. -Found no change in gunsight alignment, it was already ok foor me before. -Induced an intentional engine failure. Set the pitch to minimum to feather the propeller, and it finally almost stopped windmilling. This feature is great, it works as reality is supposed to. 6. Bf-110 test: -Overrev sound is still missing. -IA runs more than me. -No stuttering when shooting a plane. Like in the before patch. Just facts, just my oppinion on some. Hope it can help. -Wider view observed. Interested in how to set it for a normal flight.
Map the relevant controls... Controls > Keys > Camera > Hold to adjust field of view. Then hold that and move the mouse to your desired FOV. Note: It will only work if the F10 interface is ON.

Thanks, I thought these had the same 90º FOV limit as in 1946. Will try. |
